We wrote and edited publications, position papers, briefings, and speeches for officials of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, and for state lawmakers and their staffs.

 

We researched, wrote, and edited articles for the Federal Highway Administration's Highways for Life website, focusing on recent construction projects that employed state-of-the-art techniques while minimizing overall costs and traffic disruption.  The pieces examined technical practices and applications while avoiding jargon and techno-speak.

 

We wrote, edited, and produced newsletters for non-profit institutions in Pennsylvania and Washington, DC, that provide services for the elderly.  We particularly concentrated on tone, working to avoid the patronization and condescension sometimes found in such publications.

 

We have written, rewritten, and edited a wide variety of material for a wide range of public and private sector clients, repairing syntax and righting grammar, while excising jargon, malaprops, solecisms, and redundancy.
